Ontario Richardson was born and raised in South Mississippi. She grew up in Moss Point and currently resides in Hattiesburg, Ms. Richardson spent more than a decade in television. She started her career in 2002 at WLOX TV in Biloxi as news video editor, then became a photographer, and later a news reporter.  After three years at WLOX, Richardson moved to Hattiesburg where she joined WDAM TV news team for 8 years. In 2013 she stepped away from her career into the role of entrepreneurship with hopes of building her own media company, ORR Productions. There she offers exceptional public relations/marketing services, voiceover services and serves as a political communication advisor. She also became an author in 2016. Her book is titled “No is Not An Option.” 

 

She is an enthusiastic supporter of Kuntry Kidz, who stands behind our goals and visions. Richardson is a forward thinking creative professional with the mission of improving and empowering other communicators to foster their communication with their audience. 

 

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Radio Television and Film with a minor in Political Science. There she learned the initial part of the communication cycle. It is the foundation of the relationship between the talking points that you are addressing and the very human component receiving such communication. She enjoys helping professionals develop their media and presentation skills on and off camera. 

 

Richardson is elated to be serving as the 5th Annual Teen Summit Chairperson. She says, “I believe it is important for the community to invest in our children because our children will one day be our future leaders." Richardson is eager to serve on this committee with other business leaders and educators from across the state to give students an educational experience of a lifetime.

Tamekia Bynum Lesure graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communications. She is the Founder and CEO of D’Ashley’s House Inc., a nonprofit organization that helps to rebuild, restore, and renew women in her community. Her vision is to provide interactive next level resources for all women that helps to create a platform to live their best life. She is the author of HerStory, a book that details up-close and personal stories of women, in their own words, sharing their stories of adversity and the journeys they took to overcome them.
 
Tamekia believes that our words make an impression of hope, strength, and courage to empower and transform the lives of women around us.
